Lady Clippers was founded in 2006 and proudly serves satisfied customers throughout Westchester County, New York and Fairfield County, Connecticut. Or anywhere. In person or virtually. We have a staff of master pruners who have been trained in our very specialized method of sustainable hand pruning. We’re committed to practices that improve the health of plantings while reducing the carbon footprint that most lawn care maintenance services leave behind. Our work is quiet and non-invasive. We respect nature and the role it plays in supporting human lives. And yes, we are fully licensed and insured.
Meet the Founders
Ann Perkowski and Cornelia Mitchell.
Ann Perkowski
FOUNDER AND PRINCIPAL
Ann Perkowski is a certified master gardener who studied design at the New York Botanical Gardens. She marries the creative forces necessary for a lovely, long-lasting garden: a beautiful design and the art of selective hand pruning. Since 2011, Ann has taught the fundamental pruning class and demonstration workshop at the New York Botanical Garden as well as lectured at Brooklyn Botanic Garden and The Native Plant Center at Westchester Community College. She regularly visits garden clubs and horticultural societies to teach seminars and workshops. She’s personally studied pruning techniques and planting strategies during residencies at historic European gardens including Sissinghurst Garden, Great Dixter, the French Dordogne and Claude Monet's Garden in Giverny.
Cornelia Mitchell
FOUNDER
Cornelia Mitchell, aka CJ, is our most experienced Lady Clipper. She was born a master pruner. Her artistry with secateurs is legendary.

Ann was invited to prune at the renowned English garden and 16th Century manor home, Sissinghurst. This visit provided an opportunity to learn about the unique care of their pollarded trees, espaliers, roses and more.
